Just going for it basically,
By all means get a Defender. If you get a good one, you'll be happy. If you get a bad one, you'll become a philosopher.

Clancy MY15 110 Defender
Clancy's gone to Queensland Rovering, and we don't know where he are
Took it to M.R. Automotive at Redcliffe for 10,000k service.
They also installed the Nugget Stuff 4 port diff breather and replaced all the wheel nuts including the security ones, with the black ones I ordered recently.
Great service and they include a log book so you have a record.

There's a Jett's gym about 3km away so I walked there, had a workout and by the time I was in the shower they called to say they were done.
Then down to the shoreline for some fish and chips before heading home.
Good day.
After reading Mitch's woes with his winch, I thought it was about time to spool out my winch cable (steel), inspect the cable and exterior winch, and respool under tension.
Easy job as I am on acreage and decent trees, so just slung a tree protector, cable damper insitu, power out, inspect all, put new red tape on the cable with 8 turns left on the drum, try not to roll into my billabong, power back in up the hill.
Easy job.
Then put security nuts on to my ARB driving lights and light bar. That'll at least slow the mongrels down.
Also, tapped my new reverse camera into my Rhino rack so far better rear view vision now via my double din Alpine head unit.
Apple car play is brilliant!
Scotch o'clock.

Today I finalised my LED side and reverse/rear lamp wiring. I decided to mount the switches on the left side dash panel after seeing Mitchs' install. It's certainly easier cutting into the dash second time around once aware of the plastic reinforcing webbing behind the panel.
It's a neat set up, and believe it or not, in QLD, accessory rear lights have to be out of reach of the driver, so I can only reach by leaning over. That should satisfy the RTA.
I'm very impressed with the Wurton 4 LED light pods that I purchased from ARB Cairns. Seriously well built, great loom and even better light to illuminate camp sites , rear of the vehicle etc.

It's a Momo something or other with a thin boss. It has a flat bottom which is facing the camera, hence it looks strange.
It's actually fairly angular in section and I'm looking at changing it for a smooth, fully circular Momo.
I got it from Urban Truck in the U.K, same with the replacement.

Spent the weekend in Goomburra. Good times.
