Tact. I think you’ll be quite surprised how well the Toyos hold in the wet.

Just the left and right hand side of the rear cross member right behind the rear wheels middle was ok. Could be due to the amount of dirt tracks the car drives on may be blasted by the dirt and gravel

Fitted the nugget stuff sealed air box kit
was a bit ****ed off when I pulled my snorkell off there was no gasket between the snorkel and the wing of the car. Would not of stopped any water, had a little bit of silicon but none of it stuck to the plastic snorkel only the car wing. All good now

Only while new? Or right throughout their life?

If i remember correctly the Maxxis Bighorns were not too bad on wet tarmac when they were new too. But that sure dropped off as they aged/wore.

On the second set on the D2 and never had a noticeable reduction in grip through their life.

May be different on your longer wheelbase.

    Snorkel / Pannel interface

When I removed my snorkel on my 2012 110 to fit Nuggets great sealed air box kit, the paint was heavily blistered due to moisture.
I sanded it back, primed, and repainted prior to continuing the installation.
Sometimes it pays to check these things before any major issues.

    New Tyres

After tearing a tread block off my BFG 265/75/R16s’, I thought I’d try a different tyre.
Goodyear Wrangler MT/R 265/75/R16, so I fitted a set of four today.
$365 each fitted, which I thought is a good price for Far Nth QLD.
I immediately braved the floods here, and drove 40Kms, to try out the balance and noise.
Just a smidge ( metric smidge, not imperial) louder than my KO2s’ which I’m happy with, and excellent balance.
Great, so let’s see how they cope for the next 60,000Kms.
    Ken.

    Nice tyres.
How's you and the rig going? There has been a bit of radio silence on your end it seems?
