    Hi,

Unfortunately, there are no cabin filters in our Pumas but that doesn't stop you from doing some DIY simple filtering to keep the bigger stuff out of the system.

As for the smell, I've only had the system smell bad on one occasion and that was when my ignition switch was melting and fusing one of the plugs to the pins. Smelled of something decaying together with a pee like smell. Once the offending switch was found and replaced, lo and behold, no more smell.

Have you had your system cleaned? Maybe it's time to give the 'ol cooling coil a good wash then top off your refrigerant and compressor oil while you're at it. I make it a point to have it cleaned and checked once a year just to be safe.

    I hope this helps.

    Smells in cabin

I have teenage sons............ Nothing apart from removal of aforementioned , will remove 'smells'!

I of course smell like a rose.

    Cheers

Maybe also look here for debris/blockage:

As per the Defender2 thread that's why we fitted snow covers - lots of processing material, dust, and debris around here.

The TDCi inlet duct is different to the one pictured in defender2 post linked.
(See attached pic). No drain to remove etc

Not sure if it is deliberate but the face of the duct that mates with the blower casing, which has a foam rubber seal, doesn't mate properly. I can fit a finger between them effortlessly along the vertical edge closest to engine side. Bound to let in heaps of dust, mud, slush etc. (despite snow guards on the fender, Tombie)

Mine is a July build 2012 TDCI 2.2 110, and it has the same design as in the Defender.net picture. I know as I've had my hand in there, clearing the mud and water build up by squeezing the teat.
I wonder if it was changed later on?

Strange. The pic I provided comes from the MY2012 workshop manual - and is what I have in my MY2013.

Mine has a flattened rubber pipe on it probably so it closes in water. I cant see a problem, but it smells, when I have time I need to look deeper into it.

That's the duck bill. Likely blocked.
