    Agree entirely that there are both benefits and drawbacks to the world going digital. In most instances as a consumer there is very little that you can do to make the position different. Successful people and organisations accept the change and figure out how they can take advantage of the plusses and minimise the impact of the negatives while understanding that they are unlikely to be in a position to influence the fundamental change.

    I don't know, but as the discussion has gone - would assume not mate.

    I can edit my own contact details, but not any of the info entered by the system, and nor by any future service manager I presume.

    Welcome to progress. I can see some upside though in a few years time when you are buying a second hand vehicle, as the records should still be available and not "Lost"

    As to the old log book stamp system I much prefer seeing the actual invoice behind the stamp. So even if my next car uses an electronic log book, I'll be still using my excel spreadsheet and invoice file system to document its history.
