    TD5 drive belt query

    Hi All,

I have a Defender Xtreme TD5 2004 model & I'm trying to find out which is the correct drive belt size. It seems to depend on what type of air conditioning system is fitted, as to whether a belt of 1801mm length (LR factory fitted), or 1825mm (Aust system) is required.

My understanding from reading various posts is that the Aust system uses a Sanden compressor. My car has a Denso compressor (see pic), & also has a label stuck under the bonnet saying "Landrover England".

Can anyone confirm that this is a LR factory fitting A/C system, & that it should use the 1801mm belt - Part number PQS101500

Any information would be greatly appreciated.

    Cheers,

    Lionel

Good chance the length is written on the belt.....I think I have 1800.

Yes, unfortunately the writing has worn off the belt! Although it still seems in good condition, I would like to carry a spare on longer trips, & it would be nice to be sure of the correct part number.

You can always get a tape measure and run it around the belt.

There is a big difference between 1801MM and 1825 so it would be easy to see.

BTW a D2 TD5 with air and no other crap is 1801MM.

Either way, the 7PK 1825 can be used on both Defender TD5 models.
