Soapy water and a length of softwood on the top of the glass and a few gentle taps with a wooden mallet. Although I have not had to do this, I would think it likely to work.

Anybody got advice on fitting door glass/rubber into lift channel?
I have just received my new door lift channel and rubber and naively thought the glass would just push into the rubber then into the lift channel, but unless I start getting long clamps involved it does not seem so easy.
Pic attached of components, ready to push/slide into place......ha ha!!??

Hi I agree with John , a bit of washing up liquid , It's only held in by pressure , If you have access to long G clamps they would pull the glass in , as long as the glass was protected on it's top edge . Jim
Thanks gentlemen, it worked!
Picture attached of long sash clamp in action, bit nerve racking but it is in.
(The lift channel part number is MTC8477 to help anyone else searching. Door glass window lift channel).
Now I just need to work out why my inside door handle does not work! Replaced a broken one but seems (maybe?) like there is so much wear in the latch it won't open.....
