2007 Puma 110 Major Service Intervals

What are the major service intervals of the newer Defenders? And when are some of the big ones due?

I can find lists all over for older models but cant seem to find the Puma schedules.

I think its in the owner's handbook but i don't have mine around. In my view the regular A and B service intervals at 20,000km are very optimistic (I do my oils and filters at 10,000km) so I'd probably get any major service jobs done ahead of recommended interval.

I remeber the 50k service was a big one. Cost me $1200. In saying that i change the oil every 5000 and the filters every 10000

I change the engine oil and filter on my 2010 every 10K. No way would I have oil in there for 20K.
Same with all other oils, all done at half the interval recommended by LR. Those figures are purely to satisfy some bureaucratic bull about environmental concerns and they can tick all the right boxes.
Of course all the bureaucrats all drive vehicles provided by taxpayers somewhere and are changed every couple of years, so longevity is not a concern to them.

The oil is fully synthetic and they say 20,000 km intervals, but I'm not convinced and do fluids more frequently than recommended. It's cheap insurance I think.

    just some info...

I recommend 10,000km servicing which should always include engine oil, oil filter, air filter, fuel filter.

On a Defender TDCi (puma) definitely change the diff fluids at that first 30 or 40,000km, they will be black loaded with metal, this is guaranteed, if you leave the diffs until the ridiculous scheduled service, its more like you will be changing the diff instead of just fluid.

Typically I recommend for everything else, 50K service intervals or every 2 years which includes diffs, transfer case, gearbox, coolant, brake fluid.

Scheduled servicing like the Land Rover Corporate service plan is not aimed at achieving a long lasting reliable vehicle by any stretch of the imagination.

The 2nd big one is at 80 000kms. Just found that out the other day when i called to book mine in. I've only managed to attain 67000kms or a mere 10000km in the past 12 months so I'm going to be cheap and just do a basic service this year and then the major 80000kms next year when I actually have money.

Yeah a dealer quoted me $1500 for the 80,000 km service, but I got it done independently for half that.
