    86 County and Hello!

    Hi Fellas,

I'm Andre and new to the forum. Looks like I might have acquired what I have been told is a 1986 v8 County wagon. Hoping to pick it up next week. Plan is for club reg and use as a weekend toy. I am sure I will require the expertise of this group over the coming months. Cheers, Andre

Thanks guys. Plan is to make it a very capable weekend toy. Will be looking for suggestions recommended lift, tyres, lockers etc once the basics are done. Currently driving a 2010 76 series landcruiser with v8 diesel and twin locked.

Hi ,welcome to the forum. I am just embarking on a wagon to ute conversion on a 85 county which you can see in projects . As well as one of the locals .There's lots of very knowledgeable people on here whom make this such a great resource. Enjoy it ,the building and learning is half the fun.

Welcome to the forum. While no doubt suppliers will be happy to sell you all sorts of extras, the 110 as it comes will not need much to improve off road capability unless you are really into extreme off roading. The long travel suspension and already outstanding ground clearance mean that lifting is usually unnecessary, and while a locking or limited slip rear diff may be useful, that is about all that is useful before a winch is what you need!
