    Wildlife issues....

Here in the north the monsoon has made the country anew and everything is green and lush. The creeks are gushing and bubbling and we can hear the waterfalls churning from our bed at night.

Everywhere is new life. The mobs of hoppers have joeys now confidently out of the pouch and nibbling the green-pick. Yesterday driving home we surprised a big wedge tailed eagle on our track. I reckon his span was bigger than me. Then I spotted a dingo chasing a mob of five roos and their joeys. The pursuit was short lived, and I soon spotted another much younger dog that had been waiting in ambush further up the track. We watched him for nearly ten minutes as he watched us back curiously. Stepping out of Hector to have a closer look at him I nearly stepped on a big black head Python, so we had a look at that instead.

But there are pros and cons to the wildlife. This morning driving the old Tojo 70 series on the way to Adelaide River for his roadworthy, I stopped on our track to watch another mob with joeys. My wife who was driving Hector behind me also stopped, but then quite inexplicably drove forward again shunting into the back of the Tojo.

The result: Hector's ARB bull bar has pivoted back about an inch at the top. I know this because his bush cables from bull bar to roll cage are hanging slack.

Frustrating...winch and spotties will need to come out to remove bend the mounts straight again. I'm assuming it's Ok to straighten the steel of the ARB mounts? Or should I be exploiting my wife's remorse to get the green light on a new bull bar? I don't like the ARB bars much.

There you have it. Wildlife issues.

    Hi NT,

I have the same Bar which I recently removed to re-coat. I think there is a fair bit of margin for you to loosen the bracket bolts and pull the bar forward without removing any thing and re tighten.
