If you're retaining the Optima as an aux battery and using the Traxide to isolate the crank battery like in a typical install I wouldn't bother with anything special for the crank as its never going to get drained so the "deep cycle" ability won't matter.
The danger with putting a combined battery in there is the temptation to hook aux stuff up to it, in which case you're defeating the purpose of having the Traxide and might as well put the in the post and send it to me 
A combined style battery in the aux position is a good thing though. I've got a 130AH SSB AGM that has 1000CCA thats been in there for about 5 years now and still going strong.
If my start battery is feeling a bit slow due to temperature or sitting around for a few weeks, linking up the aux (I've got a manual link switch) sorts things out instantly...
