Perentie door locks , handles, strikers.

Amongst some stuff that came with my Perentie chassis was a pair of handles and strikers for LH and RH doors.
I was going to replace a worn out pair with these but thought to try them first.
Now I cant get them to close past the first position, ie, not fully shut. This is just trying them by hand on the bench. The pin in the striker plate seems to big for the slot in the hook.
They will shut on the worn one on the car but not the new one.
Is this normal and will they work with a good slam? or are there different ones that are oversize to replace worn components one at a time.

That seems strange Keith, can you post up some pictures of them. As far as I know the pins are all the same size.

Here are some pics Brian. Seems a bit of difference.
The new ones dont touch the two sides yet, the rubber bumper one and the opposite one as the pin wont go far enough up the fork. I may just relieve it a bit with the Dremmel.

They do look a little different Keith. Even the lip on the post looks thicker than the old one.
