Instrument back lights, headlight icon light and driver side park light not working

					Hi guys.

Another problem with the 300tdi deefer. About a week ago I was driving home in the dark and heard a faint click from fusebox region.
It took about a minute to realise but the dash lights were completely out. Also out was the icon (warning) light for when the headlights are on, but the icon for high beam does come on.

Presumably at the same time the park light drivers side went out.

First thing I did was pull every fuse in the middle fuse box one by one, all were in tact.
Next I put a brand new globe in the park light, surprisingly to me it still didn't work.
Then I pulled out the dash, best I could without removing anything other than screws at least. Every thing appears to be plugged in tight and no blown globes. In fact I discovered the nice light blue illumination of my dash is from LEDs.

My next step was to get the multimeter out and chase earths. It is unusual I don't have any earths under either seat?
Does anyone have any ideas, perhaps how these two are related?

 Thanks a lot,
 Tas.

Use your multi meter to check the fuses, I've had some blown and it's not always obvious when looking.
It sounds like it's no more than a fuse.
Others may known if there is an inline fuse hidden behind the dash somewhere.

The dash lights will be wired in with the park lamps and number plate lights.
