How about trying some electrical tape or similar over the ball, then relighted to improve the friction.
Cant hurt.

G'day All,
My 2015 90 is great in almost every way......... except the wing mirrors, which won't stay set. On the freeway, at 110 kmh the wing mirrors slowly start turning down to the point where they are useless.
I've fully tightened the screw in the base of each mirror but after some initial improvement the mirrors return to moving at anything over about 100kmh.
The wing mirrors on my 2003 110 never moved unless knocked ...... but on the 90 they do their own thing.
Any suggestions on fixing the problem?
Thanks.

No matter what the problem - there's a solution. You've just got to find it.

Had a similar problem with an old ford 30yrs ago. A little locktite on the ball sorted it. Even allowed occasional readjusting, hold still a moment and the locktite would grab again.

Mine don't move. Could you wind some plumbers tape in there?
