    Rear Door Bowing

    Hey

As anyone experienced the rear door "Bowing" on the defenders, it happened after i admittedly didn't close the rear door and drove away and made the door swing open quiet enthusiastically making the door bow/bend.

the top of the door has bent outwards and same with bottom left below the handle, i know they are not perfect but just with heavy rain and cleaning the water comes through the top.

i want to try and bend it back but scared of cracking the rear window or twisting it making it worse? do i have any options on fixing this or just take it as a defender qwerk.

    cheers

    Damo

Mine was warped from the weight of the spare wheel when I bought it. I fitted a Mantec wheel carrier to take the weight off the door. I haven't tried to straighten the door.

Wish full thinking but how could it correct it`s self.
You can correct the top with a bit of strength ect knee in the middle and pull the top towards you not too much a little at a time

    He he, persuasion..
My opinion only- pull the back glass out and after determining the affected points, persuade awayRear Door Bowing
    Or get a new door,.
Don't forget you may have the frame/vehicle supports a little damaged too, so worth checking that out also.

No, but the door no longer rattles, so taking the weight of the wheel off the door was definitely a good idea.
    No leaking either.

Cheers for the idea on a scale of 1 to 10 how hard is it to remove and reinstall the rear window?? I'm no mechanic but I know what a screwdriver looks like
