Thread: defender seats

I've started looking at recaros.

i really want the svx. Only place I could find the exact ones was through bowler. Shipped a pair here is just shy of 7k.

There is also a guy on ebay doing the specialist, ships free, and I think around 3200 for a pair and 300 for the pair of hinged brackets to fit them.

in the meantime I've ordered a new foam base for my seat as it's lost it's shape

There are two issues with 'other' seats, not designed for the vehicle -

1. access to under seats.

2. Getting the seats engineered.

Personally, I find the seats in my 110 among the most comfortable of any cars I have driven/travelled in, but obviously, this will depend on what shape you are! (Fitted Defender seats to replace my originals quite a few years ago now, after having replaced the foams on the originals a few years before that.)

I find there are issues with the durability of the seats, but not comfort.
