Try holding the fob to your head while pressing the button.. (no I'm serious!)
Just a small update and question.
Took the ultrascan off the OBDII to see if the problem went away.
Better but not fixed. Have noticed that often I will lock it with the Fob, lights flash but no lock sound.
9 out of 10 times, just inserting the key will get the locks to work.
I am thinking that there is some feed back device in the end of the drivers lock barrel that's not playing the game.
Have tried spraying some lube into it, the thing works OK 80% of the time at the moment but I want to get it sorted.
Has anyone open up the door insides and had the lock apart?

The earth under the drivers seat causes my locks to play up (td5 with no fob) clean it and it's fine
