What is the failure your experiencing?
I've not heard of this before.
Does it exist? Can't find much except I get the impression everyone eventually lines up for one. I have had 2 thus far, be good to find something that lasts.
part number is JQD500080V.

It appears to leak from the taps pivot point at the rear. And appears to only leak when you change to warm or hot, leave it on normal flow through or cold and its fine. Drips about a 1 drop per second on full heat. 1 drop every 2 seconds on warm. Also appears to have a life of 3 to 4 years. Its a shame we have come to cheaply made non servicable short life land fill products retailed at great profits. But having the cooling system leak erodes confidence in the vehicles capability, and the ol money box has sucked up a fair bit already.
Its a Denso OE part. A.232.001.00 and PA66-GF30 are the only numbers which don't show anything on google. I had a look at Isuzu, Toyota, Ford (puma) valves and nothing has spring up as a decent alternative.

to date it appears the best alternative is the a trusty Commodore heater tap with the addition of a plastic elbow. There is room for this I think with the OE tap mount, however I don't think the new tap need mounting as the hoses will keep it in place. Or perhaps a zip tie or two. Will have to remove the vacuum control from the new tap and connect the OE cable to the new control link. Certainly better or fairer priced for what it is than the OE tap.

Hi,
How has your modified valve been? Is it still working? My heat control valve is leaking badly. Bought a britpart valve for $165 this morning, so expensive... And don't know how long the new one will last.
Would like to follow your path if the new one fail in the future.
Regards
Wei
I see on eBay it's $99 + $37 postage from the UK.
Just ordered it for $US 28 including shipping through China.
No leaks here. Seems fine. Probably the same Fiat Citroen Land Rover part though.
