    Not good news!

New one fitted failed/leaked after only a couple of weeks. Not leaking in the same manner as the "original" through the shaft. Closer inspection of the other one I bought indicates that the "push in" back has a gap around the body. I have sealed/filled the gap with Araldite and fitted that one. Did discover that the plastic is possibly ABS and might have problems with the epoxy.

Will work on the removed "new" one with a dremel and clear out enough of a vee around the periphery to fill with glass powder and super glue - Q bond.

The London cab item is looking more attractive.

    Cheers

"Touch wood!" 2nd replacement edge sealed with epoxy "araldite" is still not leaking, (same time as previous) :0)

Removed new replacement item open edge "V"eed with dremel and then charged with Qbond glass powder and Loctite 406 isocyanate "super" glue. Now another spare. :0) fingers crossed.

    cheers

    Rick asked in post #14

    No response

Has anyone tried a chinka dinka pot metal version

16mm (5/8") Heater Control Valve - Pull to Bypass, Kit Car, Classic Car Taxi TX2 | eBay

I have a leaking AC system, no visible oil stains in engine bay or at condenser
    Guessing it’s a failed evaporator

In light of having to change a few things and being at 100kkm I’m thinking coolant change and as a result pre-emptive strike on the valve even though it is currently okay?
