just some added info...
*Common practice to remove the first muffler (later TD5) and the big centre one, no issues.
*Removing the last resonator at the end will make it sound like some sort of big U.S diesel pickup when you put the foot into it hard.
*If you drive moderately it seems fine.

Ive had three different exhaust configs on my Td5..
(1) Original system, cat converter, big centre muffler and rear resonator. No exhaust noise whatsoever in or out but the engine felt laggy..
(2) De'cat front pipe, straight through centre pipe but with the rear res still in. Nice throaty note and turbo whistle outside, a little noise increase from the cabin, virtually no droning at any speed. Power difference was remarkable, way more pick up and overall felt more lively. (mainly due to the de'cat I think, they are restrictive as).
(3) Completely straight through, standard diameter. Similar to the last config only more throaty and crisper and more turbo whistle. A little louder again in the cabin but mainly under full acceleration. Droning is minimal imho even at highway speeds, some may think any at all is hell and unbearable but thats up to you, I think its ok.
Td5's are definitely a lot different to Tdi's, I tried a complete straight through on my Tdi and the drone at highway speeds was terrible.
