Yes there is an o ring pat. They can also cause the pin to be sticky in operation too.

Can anyone confirm if there is an o ring on the fuel boost pin on a 300 Tdi injector pump?.I gave the cone a turn to get a bit more up top and now it's leaking out the compensater breather,I can't find a definite yah or nay as to which seal is bypassing. Thanks Pat

Some feed back on this,I've had issue's with leaks on my pump for a while, the fuel pin O ring split causing another leak from the breather, anyway, took it to United Fuel Injection in Perth. They pressed out the fuel linkage shaft, replacing the O ring, shot blasting the top cover, new throttle shaft O ring, top cover gasket they returned it for the total sum of $90,I cannot recommend their excellent service enough. But,there is a but, putting all back together I was checking the boost pin diaphragm and low and behold it had a tear in it about 12mm long, the boost pressure had been pressurising the pump causing all my leaks me thinks. The tear was not easy to see so was easily missed. So besides now having to search for a replacement this might help others in the same predicament.
