Hi,
Can anyone enlighten me as to why LR considered it necessary to install a separate program in the ECU for low range? ('05 TD5 110) I would have thought good throttle response is as important in low range as it is in high? Also, is disconnecting it as simple as pulling the connection off the transfer case? Thanks in advance.

Indeed... good throttle response IS a key thing in low range... and the changed throttle mapping in low range on the Puma Defenders brings that. It means that you can hold a steady throttle despite the vehicle pitching and rolling across rough country - i.e. if your foot moves a little on the pedal it doesnt cause significant variations in actual throttle applied to the engine. Helps keep a steady throttle and line.
