What purchases have you made for your Defender lately?

Attachment 129729Attachment 129730As I am getting a canopy and drawers for the ute, I didn't fancy the hassle of the spare in the back...

so I threw some $ at Murray @ rijidij

I liked the only swing away carrier on my previous ute, and this is an even better one !

I suppose I'd better repaint the rear cross-member and tow bar before I fit it, to make it look OK....

This is what will arrive by courier in due course....

So I have a little project for the weekend (like I needed another).

I purchased a Long Range Automotive 134 litre fuel tank at the recent 4x4 show in Melbourne. I have had them before on my other 4x4's (not Land Rover) and have always been happy with the result. Not only did I get a show discount but I won a raffle for free installation which I did not know I had entered! Apparently by purchasing at the show I was automatically put in the draw. Got to be happy with that. Tank goes in next Thursday.

I don't think I need too many more items now. Maybe an Ashcroft centre diff and another Harrop locker in the front. I'm not hard core but my Defender only has the Rover front diff so it eventually has to go. Having said that, it is a Defender so you never really stop fiddling do you?

Being an Alpine brand, I think you have a good excuse for another VicHigh trip to test it out ................ as if you needed an excuse.

Need to see some photos of how it looks on the 110 Wgn

What's the going rate for these rear tyre carriers as the one I got might become a bit of a PITA as it doesn't stay open.....
