Had a suspension compressor fail. Dealer fitted a new one and away we go. Well for a while anyway. Then another compressor failure. Back to garage as part still under warranty.

Much grumbles from owner as the tech had used computer to determine failure and cleared code as should have done. His issue was that this had shown symptom not real problem which was that the relay that controlled the compressor was not working resulting in the compressor over running. Relay is worth less than a pound retail. Put in new compressor and relay at their cost.

Made an expensive lesson for the tech as they could not return the compressor as a warranty issue. The supplier checked all returns as part of their product development program.
