Fitting a new 3.2 and auto to 130 starting in 2 weeks shall keep you updated
Very interested to hear more about these - definitely in two minds about going the route of tuning up current stock 2.4 if end result will still leave more to be desired. Especially for towing. Might give you a call tomorrow Grinna!
Cheers Glenn.
For the others curious I had a chat with Glenn and ended up checking out the conversion on the long weekend. Needless to say was sold after a quick drive.
Totally transforms the feel of the car and Glenn has a great shop with some other awesome projects going on (some other unreal swaps)
Will definitely be dropping mine off in the new year!
Glenn, do you see this is as being viable for the Disco2 Td5 replacement. Would the ACE pump still be able to be retained and the tachometer, cruise control still be able to be retained? Is this with the LT230 transfer?
Just asking here because I'm sure it will be a common question.
if your disco is an auto i would probably suggest we fit the 2.7 v6 from a sport or disco 3 as there wouldnt be much more mods to be done. The reason we use the 3.2 in the defender is because there isnt to much mods to be done.If i had the time i would put the range rover 3.6 turbo and auto into my defender but it just wouldnt be economical for most people thats why we have done it this way to try and make it as affordable for those that have unfortunately had an engine failure or simply want more power.cheers
