Would love to get a pop top fitted to the 110. spoke with Daniel at Mulgo he was very helpful, does anyone have one fitted, love the idea of a quick set up as i drive out to Cairns quite often do a few hours driving at night after work when the PDR has very little traffic and sleep at the side of the road when tired.
1. How is the quality.
2. Are they easy to get in and out of.
3. If you fitted one again would you do it exactly the same or would you do something different.
I live up in Weipa FNQ so cant just drop around to check one out unless anyone in cairns or the tablelands has got one fitted.
cheers Eddie

						will do cheers
I have one on the 110 county and I love it. It was installed by the prior owner before I bought it and we use it all the time. Cannot beat rolling late into camp when needed, popping the top and getting to bed within 5 minutes.

Hey Eddie
I have had one for 6 months. I am very happy with it.
Spent 5 weeks living in it July. Gold Coast > Cape York > Gold Coast
1. How is the quality.
I am very happy with the quality
2. Are they easy to get in and out of.
I built my own internal storage in the rear which acts as a staircase to the bed so it is very easy.
We went away for a few days over new years and my missus (30-weeks pregnant) had no troubles getting in. She had a little trouble turning around up top when I was already in bed as you sleep with your feet to the front of the vehicle so need to spin around up top.
The Mulgo fitout uses the same concept of storage as a step.
3. If you fitted one again would you do it exactly the same or would you do something different.
If I didn't already have the 110 I would have considered his 130 wagon/poptop conversion it looks awesome! We have maintained 4 seats (one rear removed for the fridge) so storage is limited but we haven't had any issues yet.
Also sent you a PM
As mention we have one.........
1. Quality, no issues
2. Access.....easy as, so long as you’re mobile. Like James we use the kitchen as steps.
3. Changes, not really, a usb outlet in the ceiling for iPad charging, I have fitted a ram mount to watch movies st night or in poor weather.
4. Setup, it’s less than 1min as bed is always made and four pillow stay up top all the time. We have a Hard Top (no cargo barrier) so even if it’s pouring rain we jump over the front seat, unlatch from inside, push roof up, jump into bed.....don’t even get wet.

Thanks for the update everyone. Keen as mustard to get one installed, a quick and easy camp set up is the way to go and no towing a camper trailer even at the expense of less storage than a trailer.
I will try to get booked in after the wet season and are able to drive down to Sydney. Is there any chance of any photos of the fridge set up on the back seat anyone I was thinking of this idea, as I like to take my dogs camping and sometimes space can be limited in the back of the wagon.
cheers Eddie
This is my fridge setup.

I have a plywood board with a leg at the front. I installed it as low as I could go while still allowing front seat to fully recline.
Underneath is air compressor, draw with recovery gear and invertor.
It's tight but works for us.

It's a very expensive modification but I highly recommend it. I had a rooftop tent before and prior to that I was on the ground in a tent or a swag.
1. How is the quality.
It's Daniel - quality of design is high, quality of fabrication is high. I've done thousands of kms of rough off-roading and mine hasn't skipped a beat. After 3 years I replaced the rubber seal but to be honest it would have been fine for a lot longer.
2. Are they easy to get in and out of.
Yes, unless you've had 13 tins and need to get up for a pee in the night - the dismount can be interesting with a fuzzy head, but it's way easier than with a rooftop tent, for example.
3. If you fitted one again would you do it exactly the same or would you do something different.
I can't think of anything I'd do differently. I went for the DRIFTA set up but worked with Daniel on what suited me best. Work out all your interior needs and he'll help you create a solution.
