    Installed a Headlight/Driving Light Loom Upgrade (about 12 months ago).

    Before last Christmas I installed the loom upgrade but have procrastinated in posting. I have seen how Jon installed his (see post: Alasdair, the MY16 Keswick 110 ) but thought I'd stick to the recommendations from Traxide for now by installing on the L/H side. There really isn't much space under the bonnet so I had to jerry rig the mounts on top of each other. Suffice to say everything works and getting it in was ok (albeit a real fiddle) but I'm dreading the 10.00pm light malfunction fiddle - probably in the rain - by the side of the road in the middle of no where. Anyway, pics below;

    As you can see below it is still tight for access/fiddling. I'll ponder the install over Christmas and see if I can come up with a better place for the relays. I'd really like to install under the drivers seat or in a box under the dash (preferred I suppose) but am conscious of extending the wiring too much. When I relocate the relays I'll relocate the wiring from under the seat into the ExBox. Before I do that though I need to invest in a decent set of crimpers. Using the side cutter cutters for crimping has go knobs on it. Any way, more install pics below. Special thanks to Penny the Lab for the supervision. (she sat there for hours watching. It's nice to be needed)

    Dropping screws in and around the lights (behind the bullbar) was a total bi**h hence the taped on screws. Once the screw dropped into the bar it was a real job to locate and retrieve them.

    I also want to fit a snorkel and do something about the music situation. Neither really bother me that much and the snorkel is more for aesthetics at the moment). Because of where the relays for the lights are fitting breathers will be a problem I think.

    Cheers

    Lab tested?

    Yeah dropping those screws is a pain as they are not magnetic, take some finding and retrieval.

    Lab Tested - Brilliant! I'll keep that in store next time they go over and beyond.

    Made up a little bar table for the back of the 110 to complement the table on the drawer. Was inspired by another user on here who had a similar mechanism but had a hinged leg.

    Wanted mine to be able to slide in flat on my drawer under my gear and so it uses a cantilever design in the ladder rungs. Can't see in this pic (as did not have the wire on) but has two hooks at the license plate end underside that are connected by a tense wire rope looped under the bottom rung meaning it doesn't need the wire rope shown (although will use as safety if ever cook on it!)

    Pretty happy with how it came out and means can leave the camp table at home for smaller trips. With both wires on held my weight (80kg) no problems for a quick test.

    Hi Carpdvl,

    Mind telling me what the wheels are on the vehicle.

    I have a set of Sawtooth's and am thinking of swapping out for a set of black steel wheels (Sunraysia's etc).

    Cheers,

    Andrew
