I would have thought that even if the speedo is out by 10% that most Defenders on standard tyres would only need 4% or 5% correction.

SupporterAfter putting the yellow speedo drive (22 teeth) in Ive had a chance to test the speedo but not the odometer 100 kmh is now reading pretty well bang on 100 instead of 100 really only being 90 with the original blue cog (20teeth)
The odometer on my 130 tdi big cab always read .5 km more over the 5 km test that I’ve done a few times, so I think both my speedo/Odometer were out 10%
There is a 21 tooth green cog that should be about 5% different to the blue cog

Oh yeah go on... my 300Tdi would have almost 400,000 on it if I hadn't grabbed a Puma a couple of years ago...already 80,000 on it! ...Blimey I'm getting old!
