Thread: Sliding knob controlling fresh vs recirculated air- doesn’t move

Anyone ever had this issue? The sliding knob is set to ‘fresh’ air and won’t slide left more than 5mm. I assume it’s a cable.

Yep, often siezes up due to lack of use/corrosion etc. Release at one end and dribble machine oil or oil/kero mix or oil into it whilst occasionally working back and forth. Frees up in a couple of days. Apply chain bar oil for the last oil.
