What’s does the 304 reference to?

Oh it appears I have a typo on my spring perch to spring perch

    Upgrading 110 Front Springs

Taking worst case.....shocks open/closed although sway bar is back on so I won’t be any near these measurements.

    645mm Open
    409mm Closed

Edit...didn’t realise shocks are measure from base of pin to base of pin

had the opportunity to drive the defer for around 100km yesterday......damn hard to get it off the wife.

the 110HD (130) fronts do feel a stiffer although still running old shocks but the thud has disappeared, maybe that's from the shocks operating in a different range

wife says the car feels better and nicer to drive, although has to lift the bum a little higher to get in

once new shocks are in I'm thinking off dropping the front sway bar to see how it behaves.....

will have it offroad in two weekend time......

Hey Weeds, why did you not do the air bags up front?

My mind changes every week......have had the springs for quite some time.

Have other priorities for my hard earnt cash and given I will buy the off shelf solution from airbag man it’s a bigger investment. Relocating the shocks is one step closer.

Took the fender for a good run over the weekend......got to drive on some dirt roads with bridges , bumps and woo boys.

Defiantly happy with the 130 springs....yep the old ones were shot. Think I’ve made the right choice this time around. Still running the old shocks so wondering if I’ll notice any further improvement when the new arrive.

I can now make a comparison against my previous defer which had heavy duty King Springs and Billies fitted I am so glad I didn’t go down this path again......well springs that is, I’m sure the shocks were good, spring were just too stiff.

Do you happen to know the rating of the new springs and how that compares to the Kings and the originals?
    Just curious myself.

    Have no idea on rates......

The new, what ever 130 fronts are rated at.

The Kings, was talked into there heavy duty ones as I had PTO winch and bonnet mounted spare.

The ones I pulled out....whatever OEM ratting is.
