    Fuel Cap Gasket

I'm struggling to find a gasket for my fuel cap. The original cap started leaking diesel as I went around corners so i replaced it with some 3 mm rubber which lasted a week and thanks now leaking. Has anyone else solved this problem ?

    Thanks

New Fuel cap? There are some aftermarket ones that are a very close match for the Puma ones. What Defender are you running?

Its a Isuzu County, the rest of the cap is fine, its just the gasket seems to have worn out. I was spilling diesel as I went around corners

Get some suitable rubber and cut another gasket.

One compatible with the fuel Fuel Cap Gasket

I think I'm going to have to keep hunting for the stuff. I tried what I was told was fuel compatible rubber from Clarkes...it was for about a day and half and then fell apart...

I ordered one from All Four x 4 yesterday, and they had no difficulty supplying it - we'll see when it arrives whether it is the right one, but from their past performance I would expect it is.

Really. Cool, I checked LandyBitz and a couple of others but couldn’t find one. It’ll be interesting to see how you go with yours

Got it this morning - while I have yet to fit it, it looks right just holding it against the cap.
