Defender heater blower motor replacement issues
The heater fan motor in my 2005 Defender 110 has started squealing really badly and as far as I know, the bearings in the blower motor are not serviceable.
The heater unit assembly part number is JEC001040. Apparently, because my Defender has a UK factory fitted aircon, the heater unit is somehow different.
So, I started looking for a replacement, but that doesn’t seem to be available.
Anyway, my question to the brains trust is: are just the motors interchangeable between the different heater matrixes, i.e. if I buy something like UTP1911, can I transfer it into the carrier plate or not?
Thanks
Joachim

Not sure f this will help, but I went down to the local wreckers and just got one out of a Commodore (I think) and installed that into my DefenderTdi300..... It's been working a treat so far...

Thanks Rob
I pulled the motor and found a part number. There is someone in the UK who sells them for $160 to my door (inc GST
).
Cheers
Joachim
