    Replacing the fuel pump

    Hey guys,

I currently have a 2001 Defender 110. Getting ready to replace the fuel pump. Trying to figure out which is the better pump to install. I'll post the links here so you guys can see:

Fuel Pump - Bearmach (Currently out of stock, but I can get one from a local LR mechanic)

    https://bearmach.com/defender-td5-fuel-pump-wfx000260r

Looking for some insight, obviously the bearmach one is substantially cheaper, I've had good experiences with everything else I've gotten from them. I'm guessing the more expensive one is a VDO pump. Can anyone provide any insight for this?

Or even, I'm guessing the other option is contacting a wreckers and getting a second hand one.

But yea, thank you for any help you guys can give in advance!

    Cheers!

Don’t skimp on TD5 fuel pumps anything but VDO or genuine is a risk in my opinion, you will just end up doing it all again in 12 months
Second hand would be risky as well

A Disco 2 pump can be used if you change the float arm and they are cheaper from what I have read

    What he said x 2.

    *Only a VDO.
*Yes if the Disco 2 VDO is way cheaper get that and swap over your tank sender/float.
