    Question Accessing the PUMA's DASH Centre/Area for Switches, etc?

    Guys,




    The PUMA I bought earlier this year has the spotlight switch mounted into the blank section on the RHS of the Dash centre. I'm wanting to access this switch and was wondering how one goes about accessing this area? Do u have to remove the centre Radio and Vent control section or is there another way? Could someone pass on their knowledge as to how to access this area?


    Also, I assume this blank area is also the area that most PUMA owners mount/install their switches/gauges - Any chance people could post up pics of their area where they have mounted their switches and/or gauges?

    sorry to be the bearer of bad news. For easy access, it's a radio facia off job. When you remove the facia be careful to capture the metal clips (4 i think). Losing one (or more) will mean your facia doesn't lock in nice and neat.

    You can buy carling switches and surrounds (as singles or banks) that you can cut into the dash. There is ribbing on the backside of that part of the dash that you may need to trim depending on the location of the switches.

    I'm not sure if you can buy the double din side panel as a separate unit. It's expensive but splurged on a double din stereo with GPS, Apple play and all the fruit with the double din facia.

    Rob,

    If you have some time and want to look, I currently have my dash apart to install a new radio and also have the side bit cut as well.

    It might be a week or two before I get it together as I am waiting for a couple of parts to turn up.

    Should be ok, I will get home from the work in the city around 5pm both days. If you need to come round during the day i can left the better half know you are going to pop around.
