    Any tips for changing TD5 Defender Fuel Pump

    Any tips before i tackle the job??

    Any special tools?

    I already have the access hike in the floor...and a new VDO Pump.

    ...be careful taking the fuel line fittings off.....soft hands/fingers , they may be brittle after 18yrs.

    Make sure the electrical connectors click together. There can be minor variations & the one I once did vibrated apart after 6 weeks as it needed a minor filing.

    Make sure you keep the box it came in if it is faulty. Like mine was.Any tips for changing TD5 Defender Fuel Pump

    There is a tool to undo it which you may need if it is tight. I have one here I bought for the D2 if you need to borrow it.

    That's the one.

    Yes I am on the Southside, near Capalaba about 10 minutes off the gateway. I don't think it's that far south

    I need to try and get to Kallangur next weekend, so if I do, I could stop in if you like.
