Thread: Defenders everywhere...

When I was looking to buy a Defender I only ever saw one or two knocking around. Now I have bought one, and this might be my imagination, I keep seeing them absolutely everywhere. Is something wrong with me?

Family and i did a trip from Sydney to Vic High Country over Christmas. When we do these longer trips now we nominate the number of Defenders we see (driving) and the number of returned waves.

On the way down I nominated 3 and 2 Saw 1. No wave
On the way back I nominated 3 and 2. Saw 3/0
In Mansfield I saw 2 over 6 days

Next day I was driving around Sydney/Inner West. Saw 4/0 (I was driving a Subaru).

On the way back from the High Country I was thinking about the role the Land Rover has played in the establishment of the country in the last half of the last decade and how few are seen in the country now. Such a shame as the Defer is not only a really capable vehicle but also a great looking item. Among the Çruisers, Patrols and other 4x4/Overlanders the Defender is a breath of fresh air
