    Defender in W.A.

My son is looking for a defender to buy. There is one for sale on Car Sales and it is located at carz4u.com.au. they are at 170 Welshpool Road Welshpool, W.A. it is near the airport. It is a 2012 puma and I am wondering if anyone has had dealings with them, good or bad. It has done 97,000 K's so there could be issues with brakes, clutch
, adapter shaft and general maintenance.
They will get it checked by an independent mechanic for $250.00. I wonder if someone could recommend a specialist landy person over there to look at it for us as I don't want any mechanic who doesn't know landys saying it is ok. Failing that I would have to fly over there and look at it myself as a 2012 puma owner, having the clutch and adapter shaft done so I know what t look for. They will freight over here for $950.00 and that would be my preference, as the air fare plus fuel and time to drive it back the cost is line ball.
Don't want to get it over here and find roadworthy issues and find we have bought a lemon.
    Thanks in anticipation.

If you can talk him into doing it, I highly recommend Darren Robinson of AZTEC 4 x4 (DazzaTD5 on here) who is an indi specialist and lives near the airport. 0418 570 305. Also my regular mechanic of choice, who works on my 2 wee beasties.

I's actually Aztech 4x4 not as Gavin spelt it but he can't help his lack of edumaction ...... you'll get a top appraisal from Darren and if anything needs fixing it'll be done at a good price and well.

I'm actually trying to get Darren to lift his game and create an empire (aztec - get it?) rather than plod along as an exceptional grease monkey/land rover guru.

EDIT: Mind you A - Z technology is not a bad moniker!
