304k - probably find the rings are all carboned up and the bores look like new. Was certainly the case with my 300tdi at 320k. 
Pulled the pistons out, removed the rings and cleaned out the grooves. New big end bearings and 60k later it's still good as gold. 
IMO the value of an Isuzu conversion depends on what you are doing with the vehicle. If you are usually loaded, do a fair bit of hilly driving or tow more than a 6x4 trailer the Isuzu is awesome. If not - I wouldn't bother with the conversion hassle. Also, no point in putting in an Isuzu without turboing it.
