I ended up getting about 4.5m-5m of marine carpet for $135- I got it a bit cheaper as it was the end of the roll.
I made the mistake of doing this late at night when I had limited light and a tired brain- not a good combination, as this led to many mistakes.
Lucky I had help. Unfortunately, I wasn't being a very good supervisor as I did the template back to front.

Also using the old broken and split set as a template wasn't very good, even with checking measurements here and there.

Over the next few nights did the rest of the vehicle- still didn't learn from the previous night/s, as more limited light and tired brains- working between 10pm-12am (yes that is late for me now
)

Note: it is still rather loose as I want to give it some time to test it out.
I have also opted to not glue it in due to the following;
I might dynamat it one day.
I might put in a draw system where I can use the existing carpet easily.
I do not fancy gluing things at this stage as it may be a pain/mess later.
You can also see in some of these photos that the seats are cleaner.

The rear door windscreen wiper was not working but getting hot. So, due to this I pulled it out and it was rusted and full of crud.
The rear door trim was also a bit tattered so it has come off for good.
I have noticed that the rear door has cracked in several places due to having the spare tyre on.
So for now the spare sits in the back.
I think I will build a spare wheel carrier that operates with the rear door.

When I get back to the farm I will clean the door frame up, weld it up with a MIG and paint with a zinc/galvanise paint.
I am thinking about getting/making a new trim for the door.
I have thought about flat plate or chequer plate.
I am also thinking about making a drop down table on the rear door.
If I go the spare wheel carrier on the door I will look at putting a gas strut on the bottom of the door as well.

After arriving home from the mechanics, I noticed this strange ticking noise.
I tried to work out where it was coming from without much luck. I did the whole listening test with the screwdriver but couldn't find it.
I am currently working on the solution but am not going to post what I have done until I know it has worked.

Here is a list of known problems that need fixing and items I would like to fit.
air con- more than just a re-gas as it has a leak somewhere.
low coolant sensor
fuel sender/fuel gauge error.
fuel cap
rear wiper motor
middle row door extensions
door seals
front passenger side door handle is missing a screw/bolt
windscreen billets/brackets
door handle caps/covers
front floor panel screws/bolts
steering wheel- not sure whether to replace with original or an aftermarket-momo?
bonnet hinges-bush
RHS fender vent
front grille badge
drivers side middle row seat latch/lock- spigot?
replace door hinge bolts with stainless steel bolts
drivers door bottom hinge has some play
windscreen water jet
at some point it will need new rubber seals for the windscreen and rear side windows
rear wheel carrier
rear interior light
front passenger side seat belt- full kit.
obviously I would like it to be repainted but I don't think I could justify the cost of that.
I am sure there are others that I have not yet discovered or forgotten to mention.
