I found a lot of Tdci drivers didn't wave when I had my Deefer, so it'll probably get worse....
When the new defender is released, do you think you will still wave at it?
Personally, I reckon the type of people that will shell out for them mostly, will be newbies to the marque, trying to gain a bit of street cred and possibly fit 21" rims and lowered suspension, and won't understand or acknowledge the "Defender wave".
What do you guys think?

No reason to look down on people because of a presumption or generalisation (warranted or not).
If the wave continues to go unreturned then maybe time for a rethink
Maybe some did not have time to wave before passing because of the extreme speeds the puma is capable of
This is one puma owner (a newcomer to the marque compared to many of you) who enjoys the fellowship of the wave. The older the defender/series I pass, the more energetic the wave!
I may not ever own the new defender, as I hold little faith that it will actually be an improvement in terms of offroad capability. But I will still wave at those who do buy it to welcome them to the community, just as others welcomed me
From what we have seen on the won't be retro thread so far it seems like you might be pleasantly surprised.

It's as much a Defender as the retro Beetle, Fiat 500 or a Mini. So, no.
BTW, I wave every Series & Defender that I notice on the road :-)
