Thread: Puma cargo door central locking not working

Just a tip.

My 2015 Puma recently developed a fault with the cargo door, not auto unlocking when you press the fob.
You could hear it try to unlock it, but I could only open with the key.

I pulled of the plastic door cover, and there wasnt a lot of dust.

1. Nevertheless, I blew the lock mechanism out with compressed air.
2. I sprayed the interior of the lock mechanism with PTFE dry lube
3. I squirted graphite powder into the key hole

Issue cured, and the door handle now opens Soooo much easier.

Probably should do this if you hadnt already done it.

Had same happen to me several times. Got to the stage I took the whole assembly out washed and re greased it. Eventually packed the voids either side of the lever with cotton wool, lightly soaked in singer oil. Haven’t had further problems, but then again changed jobs within a year, so much fewer dirt roads.
