    Bull bars and winch cradles

So ive been going through the old threads on these topics trying to find some info but haven't had much luck.

I've currently got an ARB non winch bullbar on my TD5 defender and the end goal is to be able to run a winch on a bull bar of similar style and i'm open to solutions for the problem.

I've read that with an appropriate winch cradle you can mount a winch behind the bar and do an angle grinder job on the bar to fit it all in, although not recommended by the guys at ARB.

There is currently what looks like an land rover factory winch compatible bar on gumtree right now, but doesn't have a cradle to actually mount the winch, only the holes for the fairlead.

So my question is what winch cradles are people using and how well do they mount behind other bars?

Ive got a 11XP runva winch off my old car i'd be looking to mount.

Winch ready bull bars are designed to take the extra stresses of a winch, Simply fitting a winch cradle to a non winch ready bar isn't a great idea.
If you want to run a winch change the bar

On my last 4x4 it essentially just had a winch cradle which held the winch and then had a hole in the bar. The bar never held the winch only had holes for it come through. I figured this would be the same with a cradle? It would bolt to the chassis and hold the winch and forces involved. then just have the bar hold the fairlead.
