Which motor have you got?
If a TD5 look at possibly a delaminating hose from the intercooler.

						SupporterGood afternoon,
On a 1000km mostly freeway round trip, I filled up with about 300km to go.
After filling up, i started to experience some problems, hence why my immediate thought is bad fuel or fuel related.
I first noticed a shudder at 105kmh (normally my max. cruising speed anywhere from 95-110), and lost some power.
I pulled over, check the vitals, everything looked ok, pulled back onto the road and everything appeared fine.
Later down the track, same thing, but the symptoms were on and off. Then i decided to push the speed to clear out anything in the lines. I couldn't get the car to go past 110kmh. It was flat road, and my foot was to the floor. I have had it faster before, so I knew something was up there.
Once off the freeway, problems continued, but at lower speeds. Lacked considerable power in 1st and 2nd, and wasn't much better trying to get to 60kmh.
Now, here's the thing, after pulling over and turning off the car, and starting it again immediately, the problem went away, and I drove off like nothing was the problem (this happened on all occasions) - until it started again.
So, if its the fuel, what actions can I take to try and flush the system? (fuel filter changed 5000km ago)
Is it a case of driving the bad fuel out until i fill up again?
Possibly another problem i'm not aware of?
Any help greatly appreciated - as you can imagine, a very frustrating afternoon!

						SupporterYep, TD5 2003.
Just had the radiator replaced, so I imagine the intercooler hose was removed and replaced.
ill see if I can get to it tomorrow.
If this is the case, whats does that mean for the delaminated parts? Where do they end up eventually?
Thanks for the help
The hoses can seperate internally with the inner layer restricting the air flow.
As the radiator has been done I’d check the intake hoses are sitting correctly and all the clamps are tight, it may be loosing boosrbfrom a loose clamp too.
If you suspect bad fuel is the issue drain/check or replace the fuel filter also.

Drain the fuel filter and see if that helps. Is your air filter clean?

SupporterAir filter clean, hose not delaminating, and have emptied the fuel filter.
Found some residual matter, but I don’t think that’s too bad, but I actually have no idea.
thoughts?
in the process of checking the hose, I managed to crack the brittle plastic resovior to radiator hoseI’m going to replace it with a rubber hose for now, is there any reason why this hose in particular is hard plastic and not rubber? (LR037957)
This forum has been a life saver, so much information, thankyou!

						Supporter- No delaminating hose
- Not anything considerable in the fuel
- Cleaned MAP and MAF sensors
Still no change to strange performance issues.
Just did some more digging about oil in the injector wiring loom travelling up to the ECU plugs.
Looked under the drivers seat and saw this!
So, whats the plan of attack here?
(I am learning so much about this car, and getting much more familiar with things. The confidence this forum gives is fantastic. It has saved me a bunch of cash so far just in searching and troubleshooting. Couldn't be more grateful, thankyou.)

Oil seemed to be most concentrated around this loom. Is this what you would plug a nanocom or similar into? It has a blue harness plug on it wrapped in protective foam, but not connected to anything.

(edit: added pic)
Kyle - I saw your post from a few years back in regards to the wiring loom and how you fixed it. Hows it holding up?
