Sounds Good to me, What voltage do you get after you turn the engine off?
I asked my garage man too check timing and install a new battery. He did that, changed timing and checked the dizzy out.
When I got the car back the needle on the voltmeter on the dash was way off to the right when the LR was running. It used to be a little over dead centre. The alternator is showing 14.2 V and both batteries are showing 14.1V,
Looks like something has been bumped/installed backwards/disconnected or something else. All ideas appreciated.

14.2 etc is fine. The original alternator will be down around 13.2v so must be an upgraded unit, most replacement ones are running much higher output due to the requirements of modern vehicles.
The Isuzu 110. Solid and as dependable as a rock, coming soon with auto box😊

Hi,
Thanks for interest. The gauge drops to zero when the engine is turned off.
Hi Admin...Excellent question. As soon as the ignition comes on, the gauge flicks to the right as far as it can go. Do you think it picking up coil voltage?
I would be checking the earth wire from the gauge Jim.
