    G'day Rolly,

I have a set of these in 315/75R16 and they are awesome. They were a step up from the BFG KM2 in terms of road noise and they are not undersized like the KM2s are.

Off-road they are great but I haven't gotten them into any full-on mud yet.

The deciding factor for me was the price (they were substantially cheaper than say Mickey Thomson's or BFGs, but the same league of quality) and Peterson FourWheel and Off-road rated them very highly (above Pitbull Rockers).

The guy at the tyre shop said they were really easy to balance compared to the KM2s as well.

Bearing in mind this was pre-release of the BFG KM3.

They are a good tyre that is equivalent quality to the top brands but sits about $50 cheaper/tyre. They are lasting well as well.

They can look gumby in photos but they do look tough in real life.

I have a set on my 130. Extremely well behaved tyre on the black top and they are quiet for a MT. Just did 30000km trip around oz and only had 1 puncture from a short rock through the tread. Easy plug repair. The 130 was loaded to gvm towing a van and did a lot of off/dirt road.

The van however running Michelin XML 7.50 r16 had 7 punctures. Most were when running low pressures.

The only issue I have with the Hankooks is they do wear quicker than others.

    Thanks folks,

I've put them on and they do appear a more aggressive tread than the GoodYear M/T. I've already noticed their rolling resistance is higher so anticipating a higher fuel consumption. Tyre fitter also suggested that as they have a greater Ply rating I may need to air down a little more to enable the tyre to reshape for sand driving.
Best bit though was the price, approx $150.00 cheaper per tyre!
Might have to head back up the cape and give them a proper workout!

    Loving my RT03's

    Hi mate,

When I bought my 110 in 2014, I fitted Hankook Dynapro RT03's from new. Mine are 265/75R16. They have completed 86,000 km now and still have plenty of useable tread left. They've been very good off road and I've never had a problem with them.

On road, I've been running 36 psi all round, and up in the Brindabella's I usually go down to about 20 psi. I do a five wheel rotation, balance and alignment at least every 10,000 km. All in all I have been very very pleased.

    Two thumbs up
