a mate has an old Thomas worm gear winch. is that the same as your unit? If so its about 400:1 ratio. well engineered bit of kit. will pull the moon out of orbit but will take a light year to do it. Heavy as sin too.
with the Runva range do your measurements. Their high HP motors are long and if the winch is centred on your bull bar can foul the chassis rail. I am in the process of offsetting the mounting holes and fairlead on my bull bar to fit the larger motor of the Runva range. Will need some cosmetic patching and welding in a plate to cover the old holes and end of fairlead hole.
