2.4 Puma Inlet Manifold

Hi all,
I know there is a heap of stuff on inlet manifolds but no one seems to post the best place to get a replacement or which model ford one could fit (if it does, as that would halve the costs).
2010 Puma, started losing power and blowing a bit of oil out LHS of engine, cleaned it a few times and inspected everything and believe it is the inlet manifold part number LR004404. Where do you recommend I purchase a new one from, and is a ford transit one an option?

I heard that Ford redesigned the inlet manifold with extra ridges to make it stronger, so why not just try a Ford dealer?
Does yours whistle? Ours does. To be replaced at the next service.
Also, you might want to check the vacuum pump gasket is not leaking oil. Ours was.

Can't seem to find any ford people who will tell me if the parts are the same or not. Vacuum pump gasket isn't leaking (well, not yet but the day isn't over lol).

They're the same as the transit as far as I'm aware. There's a ford stamp on it with a part number somewhere - Google should help. I took mine off at ~90k to clean - was amazing the amount of build up in it. Anecdotally, it made a huge difference to how quickly it would rev and pulled away a bit quicker so that's a bonus

Though... About a quarter of the way through I was frustrated with cleaning and called the Ford service shop nearby and they quoted me somewhere in realm of $400-700 for it on basis of part number. Sorry can't be more accurate was about a year ago

Ended up just thoroughly cleaning and replacing rubber seals on it (which are cheap online)

I will have to do the same to mine fitted to the 2.2 as it whistles under full load, I was thinking that I can replace it with a Ford manifold that is fitted to the 2.2 PK Ranger motor as they are the same.

2.2 Part number is BK2Q9424 not sure if the same for 2.4
The number is on the hump that goes to the throttle body.
You should be able to read it without removing from engine.

The ford number for the 2.4 is 3C1Q9424BB as stamped on my inlet manifold!

Just to clarify the manifold for the 2.2 puma is off the Transit BK2Q9424, the ranger manifold is different, I got a quote from Ford $210.75, way cheaper than a quote from LR who quoted me $475 for the same part.
