Traction control light stuck on after replacing hi-beam blinker switch

					Hi All,
I'm wondering if anyone knows of a way to get rid of the traction control light on the dash of a my15 puma. I had the steering wheel off to change my faulty hi-beam switch and after putting it all back together the t/c light has stayed come on and stayed on after turning the wheel. I guess it has something to do with the steering position sensor.

Yes it will be the steering angle sensor. It will be reading something other than 0 degrees at the straight ahead.

If it's all been apart then most likely it hasn't gone back in the right spot. If memory serves, there is more than one way the sensor can go back in, so it would be worth pulling the steering wheel off again to have a look.

The light should reset with the ignition and if its ok will stay off.

If that doesn't work then you'll need to get it recalibrated, which is a very simple process if you have an IIDtool. Otherwise I think you'd need to go somewhere with a diagnostic computer - I couldn't find another way to do it when I had to do mine.

 Cheers,
 Jon

					Thanks for the reply Jon,

Looks like a trip to the mechanic then, I have removed the steer wheel more times then I can remember trying to sort it.
