Awesome to see the pics Ken. Great stuff. Wish that was my 130 in the pics!

As for a sealed alternator, there must be something out there. These engines are used in all sorts of off racing machines including baja trophy trucks so their must be someone (I'm assuming in the States) making a sealed alternator.

The sealed alternator (water cooled) for the Toyota 70 series is a nice piece of kit and might be modifiable to fit the LS3.

The A/C compressor looks like a bit of an afterthought.

I remember that Motorola ones were used on Mustang loaders and were trouble free. Are Motorola still in that business?

    Heat insulation

Paul at Les Richmond Automotive fitting heat shield to the engine bay/transmission tunnel to keep the heat from the 6.2 litre engine under control.

    Very neat work!

    Hi Mate,

It might also be worthwhile getting your headers/extractors coated - LRA did that for me on the V8 in my 101, and I was very happy with the results...

    Cheers,
    GG.

    Ceramic coated extractors

    Hi GG.
Thanks for that and yep, I’m having ceramic coated header/extractors fitted.
Thanks for the tip either way.

    Following with interest.
    Fantastic looking conversion.
Those new engine mounts look very beefy.

    Cheers, Mick.

    Ceramic Headers

One seriously nice looking 6.2 LS3 with ceramic headers not far from being fitted into my engine bay!

Looks like they are running a fly by wire throttle on it? Do they use the throttle pedal from the donor car? I don't think you will be able to wipe the smile from you're face when this is finishedHolden LS3 and 6 Speed Auto Install Kens’ 2012 110

Yep, fly by wire and I believe the pedals come from the donor vehicle.👍
