    O-Ring (head side) on Oil Supply Line going to Vacuum Pump

    Hello,

    I was wondering if anyone knew the specification on the O-Ring found on the vacuum hose oil supply line, on the head side. The crimping fitting has a threaded nut, but the hose fitting lip has an O-Ring. I have no found this O-Ring as a service parts and it seems like I would have to buy a new hose. I dont mind buying a hose but availability is difficult from UK on parts.

    YKL100120- Vacuum pump - hose (Vacuum pump - hose - tube) - - Land Rover Defender 130 2.5 TD5 diesel 122 bhp 1998->2006

    Hose shown above. O-Ring you can see comes installed. The service manual says to discard this o-ring as well and mine is torn in two. I just dont know what to replace it with.

    Thanks!

    Take the hose to an O-ring supplier and they will come up with something suitable.

    Someone like this

    Was really hoping to get lucky with someone knowing the size. Sizing an o-ring, haven’t done that before. Simple as taking OD of male side and ID of female side? Engine oil sealing should be straight forward?

    My local O-ring supplier prefers to see the parts rather than match an old O-ring.
    Engine oil sealing no problem, remember Land Rover don't make O-rings they buy them from an external supplier.
