						Hi all.
Can anyone, perhaps, recommend an insurance provider would provide cover that would be commensurate with what I paid for it.
Paid $40K and the best coverage I had a quote for is only for $25K.
Any ideas?
Thanks!

I hope you have better luck with Shannon’s than me.
I rang them, after all the usual questions, make model Kms etc. It then went to.
What % of dirt tacks do you drive in relation to tar?
Do you do any extreme tracks?
How do you cross water?
Explain to me in detail how you drive in …….. (insert your choice here)
What made you buy a land rover?
What didn’t you buy a Toyota Land Cruiser?
What made you not buy a Hilux?
What in your opinion is wrong with the patrol?
Etc etc etc. After 15 minutes of this interrogation I just hung up
My 99 model is insured for 14k- although I think at last renewal they added value to it & the series 3. Values went up overall by more than 1k for $26 more.
The trouble is I could never replace it for 14k, so I really need to talk to them about revaluing the Deefer. Sounds like they used you for market research..
Thanks for the heads up, I'll try to keep the discussion on topic...
I have just revalued my 96 130, from $16k to $25k with Shannon's cost me $36 dollars more. Never had a problem with Shannon's.
I just changed ours to RACQ,after having Club 4x4 for 12 months.
Club put up their price 100%,so i had to look around.
RACQ actually included more things than Club, which was interesting, although not recovery in remote area, not on a gazetted road, which i didnt want anyway.
Seems many dont allow driving into water, even Shannons.
